A Matter of Blood

Tuesday, December 21st, 2010

Just wanted to give everyone the head’s up that Andi Marquette’s second book in her space opera series has been published by Bedazzled Ink. It’s called A Matter of Blood. I had the privelege of reading it and it was fabulous. I’m not a sci-fi fan but I really enjoy it. I think you will, too.

Friday, December 3rd, 2010

So the awesome peeps at Paperback Dolls, Vampire Wear, and Wick’d Reads got together and collected a whole bunch of books n’ swag to give away in a holiday extravaganza called Bloody Kiss’mas. There are 19 days of this hootenanny, with giveaways EVERY DAY and all you have to do is go and put your name in the hat. Or, leave a comment at Paperback Dolls on the day you want some swag.

R.G. Emanuelle and I have donated a signed copy (her sig and mine) of our edited volume, Skulls and Crossbones, along with an official S&C candle (worth $25) hand made by JFay at Studio 3B. It’s got a signature scent–sandalwood, cloves, cedar and some other delish stuff.

Our swag is up for the giveaway on DAY 12. So if you want it, on that day, go put your name on the Paperback Dolls site for that day for the drawing later.

Okay, here’s a link to Wick’d Reads, which’ll show you all the swag up for grabs and what its scheduled day is. And here’s the link to Paperback Dolls, where you’ll enter your name and email in the comments section of the post.

Readings in Lesbian & Bisexual Women’s Fiction

A huge thanks to Lara Zielinsky for having Andi Marquette and me on her Blog Talk show. It was really fun talking with her, and we hopefully shed some light on our process for Skulls & Crossbones and interested a few more people in it. If you missed the show, you can listen in at your leisure. Hope you enjoy it. Here are the links. Let me know what you think!

Check out Andi’s blog over at Women and Words. She and I got on the phone and had a conversation about the process for Skulls, and you can read about it there.

Pirate Candle!

And visit Wick’d Reads to get a glimpse of the special custom-made Skulls & Crossbones candle from candle artist JFay. The signature scent for this candle is Walk the Plank, a heady, sexy blend of sandlewood, cedar, cloves, and cinnamon. Yarrr, indeed!

Lesbian Lust: Erotic Stories

Available from Cleis Press

Every Lesbian’s Erotic Fantasies

Lust: It’s the engine that drives us wild on the way to getting us off, and lesbian lust is the heart, soul and red-hot core of this anthology. — Sacchi Green, from the Introduction

For readers who crave stories of uninhibited, unrepentant sex between women, Lesbian Lust delivers. No fantasy is left unfulfilled: butches prowl the night, baby dykes learn important life lessons, femmes bring each other to the brink. In “The Office Grind” by R.G. Emanuelle, a stressed-out businesswoman loses herself and her heart in the startling green eyes of a sleek butch in a bar. C.B. Potts’s “The Angel Connection” takes age and power differentials and turns them upside down in an all-girl repair shop. Compiled by Lambda Literary Award-winning editor Sacchi Green, the relentless, raw stories of Lesbian Lust are the ultimate in eroticism.
